Leon & Dan met awkwardly in the hallway of Brisbane’s community television station way back in April of 2007 and never looked back, mainly because they were headed to the same studio.

It was here that sparks flew, but after the faulty wiring was replaced, Leon & Dan had the opportunity to create comedy on television together for the first time, in the form of movie reviews (Leon played Margaret).

At the time, Leon was a freelance voiceover talent of moderate acclaim, while Dan was a comfortably-paid yet listless electrical engineer, trudging his way up Charlotte Street every morning dreaming of bigger things.

That dream came to fruition when Leon & Dan joined forces to wrangle jobs at Brisbane’s Nova 106.9 – then evaporated instantly upon realising they would mostly be handing out icy cold free stuff from the back of a panel van.

Despite this, Leon & Dan enjoyed working together briefly once more, until Leon left Nova in early 2008 to flirt shamelessly with Pamela Anderson, among other things, as the voice of that year’s Big Brother.  Dan hung in there, and can now be heard doing live crosses for Nova Brisbane’s breakfast show each morning, and anchoring a weekly Sunday night panel show.

During their downtime in 2009, Leon & Dan knocked together a few humorous short videos that, against all odds, caught the attentions of a clutch of television executives at various networks.  Among them were a gaggle of propellerheads known as Roving Enterprises, who took a leap on a couple of dickheads from Brisbane and invited them to contribute to The 7PM Project.
