After studying an Advanced Diploma of Screenwriting, Chelsea went on to work as a script assistant on the Twentieth Century Fox production of Wolverine. Soon after, she sold her first short film Imaginary Friend to the ABC. She then worked as both script editor and scriptwriter on Channel Seven’s Home & Away and Network Ten’s Neighbours before being a regular writer on the ABC hit show The Doctor Blake Mysteries where she received 4 ½ stars from the Herald Sun for one of her episodes.
Chelsea has been a script reader for the Scriptwriters Network in Los Angeles and her original scripts have awarded her spots at the Los Angeles’ Scriptapalooza TV Pilot Competition, Tropfest Film Festival, The Hope Awards, Homebrewed Film Festival and Realm of the Senses amongst others. In 2017, her original TV concept ‘Dolls’ was optioned by Emmy and BAFTA award winning production company Hoodlum.
Chelsea is a full member of the Australian Writers Guild and the American organisation Sisters in Crime. She has also worked as a lecturer for RMIT’s Advanced Diploma in Screenwriting. Chelsea recently returned from the Writers Homicide School in Las Vegas where she honed her skills as a mystery writer.
