Andrew Daddo

Andrew Daddo

Andrew is a renowned author, voice artist, actor, television and radio presenter and corporate speaker.

Andrew’s television career began while studying at Monash University in Melbourne, where he completed an Arts degree majoring in politics and history.  Andrew co-hosted the ABC’s national music program The Factory alongside Alex Papps on Saturday mornings. He spent two years there until he was offered the role of VJ on MTV in New York.

In 1992 after returning to Australia, Andrew appeared as Professor Plum in Cluedo, and as a ghost in Paul Jennings’ series Round The Twist. Moving to Channel Seven in 1995, he hosted Australia’s Funniest People, World’s Greatest Commercials and the TV Week Logie Awards. He was one of the original presenters on the infamous The Lonely Planet and was nominated for best presenter in America’s Cable TV Awards.

In 1999 Andrew co-hosted Kidspeak; the Australian adaptation of the US show Kids Say the Darndest Things. From there Andrew took up the position as co-anchor on Channel Seven’s news style program 11AM which continued until mid-2000.

Andrew has two Olympic coverages under his belt: Olympic Sunrise with Johanna Griggs in Sydney, and Yum Cha at the Beijing games.

In 2002 Andrew began presenting on one of the top Australian travel shows, The Great Outdoors. Through The Great Outdoors, Andrew visited over 20 countries (over 70 trips), which he absolutely loved as he occasionally got to fish and play golf!

In June 2009, he, like everyone, barely recalls presenting the ill-fated This Afternoon, for the Nine Network – it lasted just two weeks. However, he continued to work with Nine, voicing The Apprentice and multiple series of RBT: Random Breath Testing.

From 2008 to 2009, Andrew was the presenter of the popular radio show Evenings on ABC Radio Sydney.

In more recent times, he was the host of the Save Your Life Tonight series that aired on ABC and entered the South African jungle for I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! Australia. Andrew is a regular guest on Network Ten’s Studio 10 and hosted the four-part lifestyle series The Lucky Country for the Seven Network.

Aside from his career in television and radio, Andrew has written for several publications including Australian Golf Digest, Sun Herald, Fairfax and the Mamamia website to name a few.

Andrew has also written over 30 best-selling children’s books. Having received glowing reviews and acclaim from the media, booksellers, the Children’s Book Council and the Teacher Librarian Association; Andrew is a rather impressive, and extremely popular author.

Andrew lives on Sydney’s Northern Beaches with his wife Jacqui and their three children:  Felix, Bibi and Jasper.
