Annie Maynard

Annie’s first role after graduating from NIDA 2004 was a sex-positive reindeer in The Reindeer Monologues for Belvoir with Rebel Wilson. Since then, her television credits include the lead role of Bess in Upper Middle Bogan (Series 1-3), Black Comedy, Dead Lucky, Love Child, A Moody Christmas, Rake 3, Puberty Blues, Paper Giants: The Birth of Cleo, Spirited 2, Tricky Business, Amazing Grace and All Saints.

Her theatre credits include The Government Inspector and Noises Off for STCSA, Privates Lives with QTC and STCA, Maralinga Project, and Capricornia, both for Company B Belvoir, Comedy Gala with John Cleese at the Sydney Opera House, and My First Time also at the Sydney Opera House. Midsummer Night’s Dream for Sydney Symphony Orchestra, Stoning Mary and Orestes 2.0 for Griffin Theatre Company.

Annie also works extensively as a voice-over artist in television, radio, animated feature, and audiobook formats and as an actor and facilitator in leadership and communication skills coaching.

In 2018 Annie appeared in an all-female version of Accidental Death Of An Anarchist for the Sydney Theatre Company, directed by Sarah Giles. Most recently she reprised her role in the second series of Channel Ten’s Playing for Keeps, and currently appears in Gristmill’s isolation rom-com webseries Love In Lockdown, available to watch on YouTube.

This year Annie will appear on Network 10’s Would I Lie To You?, the ABC’s Summer Love and BINGE Original Series Colin From Accounts.
