Enoch Mailangi is a 23-year-old Indigenous and Polynesian TV writer and text-based Artist from Sydney.
They first began screenwriting after winning RAW’s First Nations Screenwriting competition for their Comedy entry All My Friends Are Racist, currently in development. They have recently presented and written Decolonising the Clubs a documentary set during the week of the 40th Anniversary of Sydney’s Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras and follows Nayuka Gorrie and Enoch trying to figure out how black youth party when they are not invited to the party. They are currently studying a Bachelor of Art Theory and their practice and writing primarily champions themes of Black mediocrity and explores celebrity culture as a vehicle of colonisation.
