Kenneth Moraleda

Kenneth Moraleda is of Filipino descent. He trained as an actor at NIDA graduating in 1995. Theatre credits include An Enemy Of The People (Belvoir St), Muriel’s Wedding The Musical, Australian Graffiti, Talk, A Man With Five Children and Cyrano De Bergerac (Sydney Theatre Company), Kulygin in Three Sisters (Sport for Jove), as Banzai in the Australian & Asian tour of The Lion King Musical (Disney Theatrical) The Australian tour of War Horse (National Theatre UK/Global Creatures), a regional tour of Australia Day (HIT) written and directed by Jonathan Biggins, The White Divers of Broome (Black Swan) as Bill Fordham in August: Osage County (Repertory Philippines), David Williamson’s Cruise Control (Ensemble Theatre) and Yellow Moon: The Ballad of Leila and Lee for Belvoir/B Sharp.

Films include playing Arun in the iconic Australian comedy Lucky Miles (which won him Best Actor – Cinemanila International Film Festival), The Great Raid, Banana Boy, Legacy and The Fence, and the upcoming feature Locusts.

Numerous television credits include The Family Law, Janet King, Schapelle, East West 101, City Homicide, Stingers, City Life, Water Rats, Wildside, White Collar Blue, Comedy Inc, Maximum Choppage and the voice of C-MOR in 4 seasons of Jay’s Jungle.

His directing debut was an immersive theatrical/cinematic/live music show They Say She’s Different with seasons in Melbourne and Adelaide Cabaret Festival receiving rave reviews. He was a leading artist in This Here. Land. – an experimental performance part of Liveworks Experimental Arts Festival 2017 for Performance Space. With the same collaborators, they previously created Within and Without for Performance Space and Blacktown Arts Centre. At the beginning of 2019 he will be the assistant director on How The Rule The World at the STC.

Kenneth is one of the writers developed by Playwriting Australia and CAAP’s Lotus Program, facilitated for PWA’s National Outreach program, narrated the Andrea Hirata novel The Rainbow Troops for Bolinda Publishing and a proud member of MEAA Actor’s Equity since 1995.
