Madeleine Parry

Madeleine is a writer, director, producer and host whose work traverses television, film, documentary, comedy and virtual reality.

She has written, directed and presented award-winning immersive documentaries for the ABC’s Maddie Parry series, directed the critically acclaimed first Australian Netflix Original Comedy Special, Hannah Gadsby’s Nanette and directed the ABC’s comedy series Corey White’s Roadmap To Paradise. She’s also been a cinematographer and producer of SBS’s highest rating documentary series and is in development on an untitled Screen Australia supported virtual reality documentary.

Her broadcast documentary Meatwork was awarded Best Direction by the Australian Director’s Guild (ADG), her short film Murder Mouth won multiple best film awards and was screened internationally, and the series in which she immersed herself in complicated topics for the ABC the Maddie Parry series, was nominated for Best Documentary Series by the ADG.

With 10 years’ experience in storytelling, Madeleine has a nuanced voice, skills that allow for deep connection with contributors and slate of diverse projects.
