Louis Hanson is an Australian writer, presenter, comedian and podcaster.
He currently co-hosts Shameless Media’s ‘Everybody Has a Secret’, a weekly podcast which has amassed over half a million followers across social media.
In 2024, Louis made his TV presenting debut, co-hosting the ‘Sydney Gay And Lesbian Mardi Gras 2024 Broadcast’ on ABC. Elsewhere in the presenting realm, Louis hosted the 2024 Australian Open Finals Festival, the 2024 Melbourne International Film Festival Opening Night Gala red carpet, the 2023 Melbourne Spotify premiere for ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’, and the 2022 Sydney premiere for ‘Bros’.
His sold-out debut comedy show ‘Besties’ – performed at the 2023 Melbourne International Comedy Festival and 2023 Sydney Comedy Festival – received a 5-star review in The Age.
On screen, Louis acted in Amazon Prime’s Australian sketch comedy television series ‘The Moth Effect’, and recently took part in ‘Adidas’ World Cup Call Up’.
From 2021-2023, Louis also hosted ‘Pedestrian Daily’, a Spotify Exclusive daily morning news podcast.
In terms of his writing, Louis’ articles have appeared in publications such as The New York Times, Harper’s Bazaar, SBS, The Sydney Morning Herald and The Guardian. He previously had a fortnightly column for GQ Australia, titled ‘Asking for a friend…’
He has also fronted campaigns and hosted events for TikTok, Instagram, PEDESTRIAN.TV, Tinder, AirAsia, Kia, Dan Murphy’s and Adidas Australia, among others.
