Angus Sampson is widely regarded as one of Australia’s most distinctive, versatile, and successful performers, with an extensive body of work across film, theatre, and television.

He has received two Golden Globe nominations—one for his work on Fargo (Best Limited Series) and another for George Miller’s Mad Max: Fury Road (Best Motion Picture). His season of Fargo earned a prestigious Peabody Award, while Fury Road was also nominated for Best Picture at the Academy Awards.

Angus’s feature film credits include Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga (George Miller), Next Goal Wins (Taika Waititi), Where the Wild Things Are (Spike Jonze), Legend of the Guardians (Zack Snyder), and the global box office hit Insidious franchise (James Wan), which has grossed over $800 million worldwide. He was AACTA-nominated for 100 Bloody Acres and played a key creative role in the internationally acclaimed crime film The Mule— in which he starred, co-wrote, co-directed, and co-produced.

On television, Angus has appeared in numerous series, including the Peabody Award-winning Reservation Dogs (FX/Hulu), Our Flag Means Death (HBO), The Walking Dead (AMC), Nightflyers (Syfy/Netflix), Shut Eye (Hulu) and The Stand (CBS). His Australian TV credits include BUMP (Stan), Heartbreak High (Netflix), Spirited, Party Tricks, Paper Giants: Magazine Wars, and Working Dog’s Thank God You’re Here.

In addition to his screen work, Angus is a prolific TVC director, having helmed over 40 commercials. He also works as a copywriter and is an in-demand voice artist. Voice credits include Gen:Lock (HBO), Doomlands (Roku), and Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous (Universal). He narrated the Les Norton series for ABC, voiced Goro in Mortal Kombat, and played multiple characters in Hulu’s Koala Man.

Angus recently wrapped the fifth and final season of David E. Kelley’s smash hit Netflix drama The Lincoln Lawyer and can also be seen in the feature films They Will Kill You alongside Zazie Beetz, and Deep Water opposite Sir Ben Kingsley. He is also set to star alongside Jessica Alba and Tom Hopper in the spy thriller The Mark, directed by Justin Chadwick.
