Gemma Bird Matheson

Gemma Bird Matheson is an AACTA and AWG nominated writer and actor. Gemma was a finalist for the 2018 Heath Ledger Scholarship and starred in the AACTA and International Emmy Nominated ABC series Content, which also won a Rose D’Or.

Gemma wrote and acted in both seasons of The PM’s Daughter (ABC/Fremantle Media). She also has a long-running role on Neighbours (Fremantle/Amazon FreeVee) as Kiri Durant. Her other acting credits include Pieces of Her (Made Up Stories/Netflix), Paper Dolls (Helium/Paramount+), Winners and Losers (Channel Seven), Trip For Biscuits (ABCMe), Childhood’s End (SyFy) and Bertram Poppingstock: Problem Solver (ABC3).

In 2023, Gemma wrote, produced, and starred in her web-series Me & Her(pes) alongside Kasia Vickery. The Screen Australia and Wear It Purple funded series has been nominated for an AACTA and has acquired over 4 million views on YouTube channel OML.
