Heidi Arena

Since graduating from NIDA in 2002, Heidi Arena has established herself as one of Australia’s most versatile and well-loved performers across theatre, film, and television.

On screen, Heidi is best known for her comedic flair, with standout roles as Dawn McConnichie in The Librarians, Audrey Gordon in Audrey’s Kitchen, Ms Gonsha in the Logie-winning Little Lunch, and Joanna in The InBESTigators. She was also a core cast member across every series of the award-winning Thank God You’re Here. Her other television credits include Part-Time Private Eyes (which she co-created and starred in), Nowhere Boys, Jack Irish, True Story with Hamish and Andy, Upper Middle Bogan, Mad As Hell, It’s A Date, Get Krack!n, The Librarians, Shantaram, and Love Me, among many others.

Her film appearances include Emo the Musical, Spirit of the Game (US release), Now Add Honey, and Nowhere Boys: The Book of Shadows.

On stage, Heidi has been a frequent collaborator with the Melbourne Theatre Company, performing in Admissions, Cybec Electric, The Other Place, Born Yesterday, The Drowsy Chaperone, and the award-winning August: Osage County. She also appeared in Eddie Perfect’s satire The Beast and most recently took on the role of Shakespeare in Essential Theatre’s production of Emilia.
