Lachlan Fairbairn is a writer, director and actor based in Sydney Australia. Lachlan is the driving creative force behind Fairbairn Films, a successful Australian comedy group with over 4.2 million followers and hundreds of millions of views online. Lachlan writes, directs and edits all sketches produced for the group, along with acting in each of them.

In 2023 Lachlan, in a collaboration with Haven’t You Done Well Productions, successfully received funding via Screen Australia and YouTube’s Skip Ahead initiative for web series Fairbairn In The City, and wrote and co-directed every episode. Across his career he has worked with a myriad of brands on campaigns including Netflix, Uber, PlayStation and the Australian Government. Along with his brother Jaxon, Lachlan was commissioned for the Spotify Original podcast Fair Enough, for which they created 80 episodes. You can hear the brothers weekly on their current podcast, the aptly named, The Fairbairn Podcast which is supported by the Diamantina Network.

On stage, Lachlan has performed multiple sold out tours around Australia as part of Fairbairn Films, along with a sold out run at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival performing stand up comedy with comedian Will Gibb. In 2026 he and Jaxon will be touring a live show of sketches he wrote, in a show called Fair Dinkum.
