Louise Siversen

Louise Siversen is a highly respected and accomplished actor. She has worked extensively in Film, Theatre and Television for over 40 years and has appeared in many of Australia’s most respected TV shows.

Most recently, Louise has appeared as Leonie Patrick on Stan’s The Gloaming, Series 2 of Five Bedrooms, Rosehaven, the web series Celebration Nation and the Binge original series Love Me.
Louise has appeared in a variety of leading regular roles including all 5 seasons of Nine Network’s House Husbands as the hugely entertaining Miss Looby, Prisoner, The Flying Doctors, Bootleg, Chances, Eugenie Sandler P.I., High Flyers, Shortcuts, Neighbours, Stingers, The Secret Life of Us, Halifax F.P., Janus (for which she received a Silver Logie nomination for Most Outstanding Actress in a Lead Role) and BackBerner as Co-Host and Anchorwoman (which received numerous Logie Nominations for Best Comedy).

Louise has also appeared in a multitude of other popular TV hits such as Utopia, Rake, Hamish and Andy’s True Story, Ronny Chieng: International Student, The Doctor Blake Murder Mysteries, The Sullivans, Blue Heelers, MDA, Wicked Science, The Games, State Coroner, Driven Crazy, Good Guys Bad Guys, Rush and Mercury, to name a few.

In 2023 Louise will premiere in Underneath Ms Archer at St Martins Theatre, a show she co-wrote and will perform with her colleague Peter Houghton as well as Hells Gate with The Space Company. She recently performed in MTC’s Heartbreak Choir (which was nominated for a Green Room Award for Outstanding Ensemble) and in 2024, Louise will perform her own one-woman show Birthday Cake co-created with Playwright Ross Mueller which won the BBC’s Georgi Markov Award at the International Radio Competition.

Louise’s extensive theatre credits include Noises Off, a QT/MTC co-production directed by Sam Strong, I Can’t Even a one-woman show at Malthouse Theatre directed by Matthew Lutton, The Glory by Ross Mueller directed by Aidan Fennessey for Hothouse Theatre, Mum’s The Word 2: Teenagers both tours in 2007 and 2009 for Dainty Productions, The Girl Who Saw Everything directed by Janis Balodis MTC, Art and Soul directed by Peter Houghton and Kate Cherry for MTC (which earned the cast a prestigious Green Room Award for Best Ensemble), The Memory Of Water directed by Julian Merrick for MTC, All About My Mother directed by Simon Phillips for MTC, The Joy of Text directed by Aidan Fennessey for MTC, True Minds by Joanna Murray Smith directed by Peter Houghton also for MTC. Louise wrote and starred in her one-woman show for Malthouse Coming To My Senses directed by Kirsten von Bibra, The Importance of Being Earnest, Morning Sacrifice at La Mama Theatre, The Misery of Beauty for Theatre Works, Barmaids for Zootango Theatre Hobart amongst many others.

Louise’s film credits include, The Surrogate, a new horror film by David Willings which was released in 2022, the film adaptation of Tim Winton’s That Eye, The Sky directed by John Ruane in which she played Mrs Cherry, Evil Angels and Eye of the Storm both directed by Fred Schepisi, Crackers, Josh Jarman, The Book of Revelation, Four of a Kind, and Sucker directed by Ben Chessell.
Short films include The Kingdom of Doug (for which Louise was nominated for the Best Actor Award St. Kilda Short Film Festival), the award-winning Blow, Shiny Thing, and What’s The Matter which was accepted into the Los Angeles International Short Film Festival.

Louise also works as a Voiceover Artist for campaigns, radio plays, poetry readings, audiobooks, corporate narrations and more. Most recently, she featured in The Orchard with Eric Bana, Audible’s 13-part mystery drama series and recorded The Memory Code by Dr Lynne Kelly for Wavesound having recorded Memory Craft for Dr Kelly in 2017. Louise’s campaigns include the national voice of David Jones for four years and Priscilla the Musical. She is the voice of Corinna Chapman for Kerry Greenwood having voiced over 8 books in the series.

Later this year, Louise will publish a new book written in collaboration with Georgina Capper, Do your World Differently 365 Ways to Shake up your Life. She co creates and produces work for TV and Theatre, she is currently in development with several projects with other well known artists.

Louise lectures and teaches at the VCA Drama School, the National Theatre Drama School and Deakin University in Theatre, Film and Voice Over skills as well as lecturing at the VCA Film School on various Acting Styles and the Actor/Director relationship, as well as personal voice accent training.
