Luke McGregor is a writer, actor and one of Australia’s beloved comedians.

His journey into comedy began in Tasmania in 2007 when he stepped into the RAW Comedy competition at the last minute after another contestant failed to appear. What started as an unexpected opportunity quickly became the start of a remarkable career.

Luke has brought his undeniable charm to many varied projects including Luke Warm Sex, Utopia, It’s A Date, The Project, Spicks and Specks, The Weekly with Charlie Pickering (using his economics degree in his ‘Lukenomics’ segment), Have You Been Paying Attention?, Thank God You’re Here and Guy Montgomery’s Guy-Mont Spelling Bee.

On stage, he has presented sold-out offerings My Soul Mate Is Out of My League, I Worry That I Worry Too Much, and Almost Fixed It across Australia and in the UK.  Last year he toured his live hour Okay, wow across Australia.

He has been a contestant on Taskmaster Australia (season 1) and appeared in The Amazing Race (Celebrity Edition) alongside his mum, Julie. Luke is the co-creator, co-writer and co-star of the beloved Rosehaven alongside Celia Pacquola for ABC TV, for which Luke won Most Popular Actor at the 2019 TV Week Logie Awards.

Luke currently hosts Portrait Artist of the Year with Miranda Tapsell, which won the 2026 AACTA Award for Best Entertainment Program.
