Molly Daniels is a Melbourne-based writer and actor who is one of Australia’s brightest and sharpest comedy minds (according to her).

Molly was a staff writer on two seasons of The InBESTigators for Netflix and ABC ME, writing 12 episodes for the series.

She is also the co-creator, producer, writer and star of the web series Celebration Nation, which was funded as part of Screen Australia’s 2020 Skip Ahead initiative and received an AACTA nomination for Best Online Series. She was also the co-creator/producer/writer/ star, plus director, of Party of the Century, a comedy web series that found such great success on Instagram that its follow-up, Funeral of the Century, received funding from Creative Victoria.

She has just wrapped directing, script editing, and producing the upcoming romantic comedy web series Wispy, which was funded by Screen Australia and released on Instagram and TikTok.

Molly currently has two original comedy series in development with production company Gristmill. She has written and co-hosted twenty seasons of Short and Curly, a chart-topping kids’ podcast about ethics, for ABC Digital. She regularly appears as a guest on Breakfast with Sammy J on ABC Radio to talk ethics for adults. As well as being drama coach on the extremely successful ABC3 show Little Lunch, Molly wrote and directed the behind-the-scenes featurette.

As an actor, Molly has featured in a variety of roles in series such as Back in Very Small Business (ABC), Tomorrow When The War Began (ABC) and Ronny Chieng: International Student (Comedy Central/ABC). Additionally, Molly has studied at the iO Theatre in Chicago, USA, and the Upright Citizen’s Brigade Theatre in Los Angeles.
