Nicola Parry

Nicola is best known to Australian audiences as a lead cast member in all four series of the award-winning Thank God You’re Here, as well as ABC Television’s AFI and Logie winning The Hollowmen.

Nicola’s numerous television credits include Doctor Doctor (Ch 9), Rake (ABC), How Not To Behave (ABC/Screentime), Here Come The Habibs (Jungle Boys/Ch9), a semi-regular role in both series of the award-winning ABC drama Time Of Our Lives (ABC), The Letdown (ABC), Mystery Of A Hansom Cab (ABC), This Is Your Laugh (Ch 7), The Librarians (ABC), Swift And Shift Couriers (SBS), Sleuth 101 (ABC), Australia Versus (Ch 7), and Slideshow (Ch 7). Nicola also devised, wrote and appeared in the BBC /UKTV/Freehand production of Some Say Love.

In 2019, Nicola starred in Part Time Privates which she co-created, co-wrote and co-produced alongside Heidi Arena which will feature as part of Network TEN’s 2019 Pilot Week initiative.

On stage, Nicola recently performed in the sell-out theatre production of Senior Moments at the Glen Street Theatre in 2016 and the Riverside and Concourse Theatres in 2017 and starred in 160 Characters, which toured nationally and internationally, playing the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Sydney Cracker Comedy Festival, Adelaide Festival and Singapore International Arts Festival. Her other stage credits include the Cracker Comedy Festival’s This Is Your Laugh as well as Tabloid Musical, Twelfth Night, As You Like It and many improv theatre seasons at Sydney’s Belvoir Street and Enmore Theatres. Nicola has also won the Australian National Improv Championships as part of the NSW team and directed the award-winning comedy band The Axis Of Awesome for the Melbourne and Edinburgh Comedy Festivals.

As a voice-over artist, Nicola has worked for most of Australia’s major commercial stations, as well as a multitude of corporate clients. She’s also appeared in several television commercials.

In addition to her performing credits, Nicola has been the Artistic Director of Impro Australia, General Manager of Actors Centre Australia, Associate Director of the UK’s Bush Theatre, and a Resident Director at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA).
