William McKenna

William McKenna

William starred as BEN RIPLEY in series 3 and 4 of Nowhere Boys for Matchbox Pictures. He also performed as part of the lead cast in the third series of ABC ME’s You’re Skitting Me.

In 2019 – 2020, William starred as SCORPIUS MALFOY in the Australian production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, which he was nominated for a Helpmann Award for Best Male Actor in a Supporting Role in a Play, and won the Green Room Award for Best Performance in a Theatre Production.

William was nominated for the Victorian Theatre Guild Awards Best Actor (2016), Best Supporting Actor (2017) and Best Actor (2018) for his work in Legally Blonde, Urinetown, and Footloose. William’s other theatre credits include leads in The Laramie Project and Animal Farm.

William was the winner of the 2015 Melbourne International Comedy Festival ‘Class Clowns’ nationwide competition. He came back to host the 2016 National Final. He performed and hosted his own season of live shows with a group of teenage up and coming comedians as part of Melbourne International Comedy Festival 2016 and 2017 at the Arts Centre.
