Widely regarded as Australia’s 17th best satirist, Dan Ilic is one of Australia’s most prolific comedy filmmakers, it’s his ‘quantity over quality’ approach that has propelled Dan to the heights of radio and tv shows in Australia and overseas.
He was a cast member of The Ronnie Johns Half Hour (TEN), a presenter on Hungry Beast (ABC), a co-host of Can Of Worms (TEN).
He is a frequent panelist on radio and TV shows, is a regular guest host on ABC Radio nationally and is the host of the live satirical comedy show A Rational Fear (Radio National).
Dan has directed The Mansion (Comedy Channel), HitchMic (ABC) and What’s Going On Canberra (ABC) and his short film ‘Y2Gay’ was a finalist in Tropfest.
Dan has recently worked in the USA as the executive producer of Satire for Fusion Network in the USA and the senior satire producer of Al Jazeera, a job he was fired from after using the green screen to audition for The Daily Show.
Most recently he was the Executive Producer and Showrunner of Tonightly with Tom Ballard (ABC) before the show was unceremoniously cancelled.
Dan has performed stand up under the sails of the Sydney Opera House, and under rocket fire in Kandahar.
