Michelle is a highly experienced screenwriter, story editor and script editor. Her work has screened on all Australian networks with credits across several genres and demos. Crime miniseries include East West 101, Hyde and Seek, Rush, Tricky Business; murder mystery Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries; and action-adventure Wild Boys. Michelle has written for animation series 100%Wolf, Tashi, The Wild Adventures of Blinky Bill, children’s live action series MaveriX, Conspiracy 365, Sam Fox and Playschool. She is a regular writer on the serial Home and Away. Michelle is regularly sought after for brainstorming and plotting in writers’ rooms.

She is a co-creator with Trudy Hellier, with multiple series ideas in development. Their double life comedy-drama Loved Up, is optioned by UK production company Hat Trick (Derry Girls). They received Screen Australia development funding for their polyamory drama series Polysaturated, with Northern Pictures. Their medical/crime drama The Treatment was one of only 14 projects selected from around the world to pitch at Series Mania Writers’ Campus in Lille, France, 2023. Michelle won an Awgie for Best Original Miniseries East West 101 (S1) and has received two NSW Premier’s Literary Award nominations and two QLD Premier’s Literary Awards for East West 101, as well as further AWGIE nominations for Rush and EW101 (S 2 & 3). Her EW101 ep The Price of Salvation, was shortlisted in the 51st Monte-Carlo Television Festival.

She is a member of the Australian Writers’ Guild, proudly assisting with the AWGIE Awards as a National Judging Co-ordinator. In 2018 she was presented with the Richard Lane Award for Outstanding Service and Dedication to the AWG.
